I was just watching the weather channel, and they had a little blip about seasonal allergies (hay fever). Well I have seasonal allergies that bother me in the spring (everywhere) and the summer (if I'm near a field of timothy grass). My worst symptom that I despise is my itchy red swollen watering ass eyes. I don't use antihistamines because I can deal with a bit of sinus congestion and a tickle in my throat, and most of them make me drowsy/fatigues/unable to function. I resolved then and there, in my mind, to talk to my PCP at my next physical and get some help for my seasonal crap. Maybe find something that cures all my symptoms without fucking up my head? "Especially the eyes, I must remember to mention that as my worst affliction" I thought. And just as that thought had fired in my brain, a commercial popped on the screen for some product I had never heard of called 'Alaway Eye Drops' designed specifically to provide all-day relief of seasonal eye allergies! Be careful, your televisions maybe reading your mind too. This one's a Sony Bravia 40in LCD flat-screen. I was watching cable-TV through Comcast. I hear tell it's Comcastic. Moral of this story? Advertising works. I am going out to buy those eye-drops right now.
